We have teamed up here with Tectrice Consult Inc to bring a broad flavour of The Best of Bulgaria to our website. We have chosen nine themes – Bulgaria’s Diversity, Historical Heritage, Traditions and Culture, Golfing Destination, Magnificent Mountains and Mysterious Caves, The Sea, Architecture through the Ages, Water Treasures and The Tastes of Bulgaria – through which in mainly pictures we show what Bulgaria has to offer.
For more information go to www.thebestofbulgaria.eu - Architecture through the Ages The Architecture of Bulgaria has been continuously fashioned since the 8th-6th millennium BC and throughout the country can be seen remarkable examples – both public and residential – from all periods in our architectural history.
- Bulgaria's Diversity Here we present Bulgaria’s Diversity in pictures – with examples of nature and history and culture and beauty and rarity and treasures and traditions – all the diverse riches that make Bulgaria the unique place that it is – and the cradle of European Civilisation.

- Historical Heritage Bulgaria’s historical and cultural heritage is one of the finest in the world. With all manner of artefacts paying homage to the great civilisations that have populated and passed through this land.
- Magnificent Mountains and Caves “Blue mountains soaring high / over rivers and valleys of gold. / Above – the finest silky sky, / This is my homeland!” – Ivan Vazov, Homeland And beneath the mountains a plethora of exotic underground caves. Magurata, Ledenika, Sueva Dupka, Bacho Kiro, Orlova Chuka, Snezhanka, Yagodinska, Dyavolskoto Gurlo, Uhlovitsa, Haramiyska Dupka, Duhlata. These are eleven of the most famous caves in Bulgaria – most can be visited.
- The Sea, The Sea... For most Bulgarians the annual pilgrimage to the Black Sea is what makes the year go round, and the same can be said for ever-increasing numbers of tourists. And it is an excellent choice, with sun, sea and relaxation in abundance, as well as concerts, cultural events, heritage sites, museums, glorious nature – a potpourri of something for everyone.
- The Tastes of Bulgaria Wine, yoghurt, honey, tomatoes, peppers, cheese, fresh fruits, bread, chubritsa, garlic, rakia, roasted meats, especially lamb – the list is endless and – together with the ubiquitous mineral spring water, makes the reason why we especially love the Tastes of Bulgaria!
- Traditions and Culture Modern day Bulgaria lies at the crossroads between East and West, and has three main ancestral peoples: the ancient Thracians, the Slavs and the Proto-Bulgarians. These people were originally separate and ethnically distinct, with different cultures and religions, and it is this mix that has contributed to modern Bulgaria’s rich heritage and still vibrant folklore and traditional culture. Bulgaria is also a treasure-trove of modern cultural events, including modern music of all genres – classical music, opera, theatre, jazz festivals, folk festivals, films festivals and more...
- Water Treasures Bulgaria is blessed with water treasures – including fine rivers, lakes and waterfalls – but also with an abundance of thermal waters throughout the country, lending to the creation over millennia of balneological centres and now increasingly spa centres and resorts. Indeed the mineral waters are arguably one of the most precious natural resources of Bulgaria.
